My body does not handle drugs well at all and the Birth Control I was taking finally caught up with me. I had zero energy, it was all I could do to keep a clean kitchen and dinner on the table, the rest of the house was let go. Thankfully Andy and I finally got things worked out and I'm off the pill and using natural ways to avoid pregnancy for the time being. Since then I've been able to get my house under control, play with my babies, sew and still feel good by the end of the day.<br /><br />Our biggest news is that Andy got a JOB!!!!! He is a police officer for the City of Opelika and loves it. It is a perfect fit for him and I'm very excited. He started with a Physical Fitness test in January and by the end of the hiring process was the only person to take the polygraph much less pass it. His first week on the force his training officer gave him this <a href="http://www.gleamingedge.com/mirrors/onsheepwolvesandsheepdogs.html">article</a> to read and the Sheepdog protectors really describes Andy's mindset to me.<br /><br />After he got hired we took a week and drove up to Michigan for a little vacation to see Katie and a few other friends. It was wonderful and we got some really cute pictures in the snow of the boys. :) <br /><br />We've also decided that since Andy is going to be gone most of the summer at the police academy that I'm going to go back to GA and live with my parents and finish my degree at UGA. I have 3 classes and will be able to do one in May, one in June and one in July Lord willing. Then I will be done and graduated. So now that I'm caught up in a nutshell, I can get back into the swing of posting. :) I will post pictures soon of the past few months.Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12319344471609044932noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063580542683107859.post-8935495244893514202008-11-07T09:08:00.008-06:002008-11-07T09:24:16.487-06:00Reformation Day PartyOur church had a Reformation Day party on the 31st and it was so much fun to see the kids dressed up and playing games. Caleb had a blast and Stephen spent the whole night running in circles. He didn't want to be picked up because he was having too much fun. Caleb is wearing the jack'o lantern costume that Andy's Mom made for him when Andy was Caleb's age, so that was fun. Stephen refused to wear a normal costume so a couple of bandanas later we had the cutest little cowboy. ;)<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIiSlhNi9BXiJEDrXprVAwpnbygSw9PhJHofJ_eRBpTEGNP-31VpJZFZOjlzHBgvE_S_fGns7ylUVifIsaGWTfU01UshkbdXuc3zZ_yQKt7UbLV4Kn9x0tqprMMWmEZBAxrAafurjWf34/s1600-h/014.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5265934976483141074" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIiSlhNi9BXiJEDrXprVAwpnbygSw9PhJHofJ_eRBpTEGNP-31VpJZFZOjlzHBgvE_S_fGns7ylUVifIsaGWTfU01UshkbdXuc3zZ_yQKt7UbLV4Kn9x0tqprMMWmEZBAxrAafurjWf34/s320/014.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiedltWZPySZ3B7QEZKHPbAc05RmEJEuIuRtWU2qhtyuPKCKYRa_hYH2NlymgcaNZA3VIRwTGblv4E8qO7nvf3Dc6QRyubYIFpGgQ4UDutZaou0LNa0mpX2zR1_o0WVbK0-GG4YLEm9vFs/s1600-h/009.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5265934755289731970" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiedltWZPySZ3B7QEZKHPbAc05RmEJEuIuRtWU2qhtyuPKCKYRa_hYH2NlymgcaNZA3VIRwTGblv4E8qO7nvf3Dc6QRyubYIFpGgQ4UDutZaou0LNa0mpX2zR1_o0WVbK0-GG4YLEm9vFs/s320/009.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgToJvHVtiTzZGSWXa48Ol0OLYV5W2n609TYA-vGt2XjzgumhZV6bq8VjBHNZVnYiaBQNLR_SlI7DzrA_OFwTSOfxHHpU_WhYDY52ktEChbPXKATR8D2-HP0TByef99ybNlFEXBp4D4-M0/s1600-h/012.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5265934491836582578" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgToJvHVtiTzZGSWXa48Ol0OLYV5W2n609TYA-vGt2XjzgumhZV6bq8VjBHNZVnYiaBQNLR_SlI7DzrA_OFwTSOfxHHpU_WhYDY52ktEChbPXKATR8D2-HP0TByef99ybNlFEXBp4D4-M0/s320/012.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBFvsDsFYudPMclhGug2GKbezGnyJZxwQwZjtJB5bZER5I0hN8e2AlpE8BYStkJ0-xlC8MCrOWwLJFADR32BUVuvV8WEhanM5mTdVtkMKuOqir2ch1ScPJAKWmY9F-aHRdzBauUC-L_8c/s1600-h/008.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5265934271036525378" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBFvsDsFYudPMclhGug2GKbezGnyJZxwQwZjtJB5bZER5I0hN8e2AlpE8BYStkJ0-xlC8MCrOWwLJFADR32BUVuvV8WEhanM5mTdVtkMKuOqir2ch1ScPJAKWmY9F-aHRdzBauUC-L_8c/s320/008.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYGoYtlSlHJj9l3l2jOAIyMHkOV7JG-CgICFxansv_QNllSSRBjt5tjHtIm60iwDr2t4XaJRwLUD4Z-mgdPBHu1Vt9H0l7mNXz1bvb__IGnKgSWPT38EX-cV4-I-i7DTMvPnDDAGaOkzE/s1600-h/013.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5265933671591975330" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYGoYtlSlHJj9l3l2jOAIyMHkOV7JG-CgICFxansv_QNllSSRBjt5tjHtIm60iwDr2t4XaJRwLUD4Z-mgdPBHu1Vt9H0l7mNXz1bvb__IGnKgSWPT38EX-cV4-I-i7DTMvPnDDAGaOkzE/s320/013.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZpDOGWIod1sDBDQlcPKtPs7XdfULt_zVBjbxDG1kzWon-d4NmpcZ5iqEq-F4IXi-AcJkBkdUxAKHEs5c3iSDYfTaocdzL-2dkv4ql4-l7GvqhuWUcqTeaNcQshB_4bcH3QqzLpzbmJQ4/s1600-h/011.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5265933398273525138" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZpDOGWIod1sDBDQlcPKtPs7XdfULt_zVBjbxDG1kzWon-d4NmpcZ5iqEq-F4IXi-AcJkBkdUxAKHEs5c3iSDYfTaocdzL-2dkv4ql4-l7GvqhuWUcqTeaNcQshB_4bcH3QqzLpzbmJQ4/s320/011.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div> </div></div></div></div></div></div>Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12319344471609044932noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063580542683107859.post-6165784191783947152008-11-04T11:22:00.004-06:002008-11-04T11:30:45.699-06:00NatureYesterday we took a drive outside of Auburn and here are a couple pics that we took while out. It was a shock to realize that we were celebrating his 3rd birthday September 26th. He is of course a very big boy, wearing size 5s and an 11 1/2 extra wide shoe, but we are starting to see his face slim down and lose the baby fat. </div><div align="center"> </div><div align="left">He talks up a storm and will repeat anything and everything he hears. And of course he is always saying "I do myself Mommy." The funniest thing at the moment happened a couple of weeks ago. Caleb was running around the house playing and pooted. Andy turned around and laughingly asked him if he pooted. Caleb looked at him and said, "you talk about my poot Daddy?" Andy said yes, then Caleb turned to me with "Mommy, I pooted and Daddy talking about it." We just about rolled out of our chairs we were laughing so hard. Ever since then, thankfully only at home, if he poots Caleb looks at Andy and says "you talk about my poot Daddy?" What do you do with uninhibated wee ones? lol</div><div align="left"> </div><div align="left">Below are some pictures from Caleb's birthday dinner.</div><div align="left"><br /> </div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPpJIu3jaWC8iE7Tqf5e897mikibpkbf_KlaTp7zhlUPmjMneg-xEbpjaqQbaICSuBEFJoRXFuZOuZtWzKky7BXDfUa6IbMHCWU9SIGGtNcBJxXzBxwDDHNiTgzY5LwZsWwjIwMnv46Ck/s1600-h/003.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257209133424045858" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPpJIu3jaWC8iE7Tqf5e897mikibpkbf_KlaTp7zhlUPmjMneg-xEbpjaqQbaICSuBEFJoRXFuZOuZtWzKky7BXDfUa6IbMHCWU9SIGGtNcBJxXzBxwDDHNiTgzY5LwZsWwjIwMnv46Ck/s320/003.JPG" border="0" /> <p align="center"></a>Holding up 3 fingers... he wanted pizza for his dinner<br /></p><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_-kl_VHwYmEigSVgtevlmmPq75vUnisrZQEMpLd0Oun9IujivLJj-2a58ShI0ntmm5buKoqaLvqwn38n2c70OTVCkoNFmpvxZVIcrGqyHWY-lvCHsSNU6qHv98fL8q_H_NPrqE5UbYxo/s1600-h/007.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257208915853225010" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_-kl_VHwYmEigSVgtevlmmPq75vUnisrZQEMpLd0Oun9IujivLJj-2a58ShI0ntmm5buKoqaLvqwn38n2c70OTVCkoNFmpvxZVIcrGqyHWY-lvCHsSNU6qHv98fL8q_H_NPrqE5UbYxo/s320/007.JPG" border="0" /></a> Even with cake in front of him he didn't want to put the pizza down<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimS51IDO1iBLzp6oG9bIuEKkeSZ_8WRXCQUSJVVBOrtgFO-Eg_4kMicGBEc8tKa3vec5JJxadU9vkoED-p8iN3Yswei3VODKc2mF99igpdtnUNJm72x2siw0tplbgtbU_793JLP1ONIcA/s1600-h/011.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257208691103077810" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimS51IDO1iBLzp6oG9bIuEKkeSZ_8WRXCQUSJVVBOrtgFO-Eg_4kMicGBEc8tKa3vec5JJxadU9vkoED-p8iN3Yswei3VODKc2mF99igpdtnUNJm72x2siw0tplbgtbU_793JLP1ONIcA/s320/011.JPG" border="0" /></a> Stephen just couldn't wait to get his hands on that cake<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAglAYegrWT_7vvRkRgOvriwltFx1bU9gtbdsaBhC6AIVggWmG6WrsAFkP0sY8Mm7rYd0vJVLEj4_tqs7vkn_k1KPht4f8xQ_Fi-fm_1FxW0NE_8R-N-bWnX5hXhi7Qgyzru07VAAYFJU/s1600-h/013.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257208496640766434" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAglAYegrWT_7vvRkRgOvriwltFx1bU9gtbdsaBhC6AIVggWmG6WrsAFkP0sY8Mm7rYd0vJVLEj4_tqs7vkn_k1KPht4f8xQ_Fi-fm_1FxW0NE_8R-N-bWnX5hXhi7Qgyzru07VAAYFJU/s320/013.JPG" border="0" /></a> My sweet boys<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY4iOFgBnpk-HlXBN91FrC_rpJOmOD-AfKVPnTp-QO6tGQ7CA_g8cQXO0Bs27tqlOI_Gr3bTxcbDfayKcJxr0OZOp8GbX4st_5RhMufr19vNFl-R_TUDnbjotPv6dBGbPffgbuRCYsUWw/s1600-h/014.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257208114948750770" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY4iOFgBnpk-HlXBN91FrC_rpJOmOD-AfKVPnTp-QO6tGQ7CA_g8cQXO0Bs27tqlOI_Gr3bTxcbDfayKcJxr0OZOp8GbX4st_5RhMufr19vNFl-R_TUDnbjotPv6dBGbPffgbuRCYsUWw/s320/014.JPG" border="0" /></a> He picked out a spice cake<br /><br /><div> </div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXeM-TVxUWWU8v5VEYIfnUXpPyBZKP9zwAUE9ay4_7BMzp-mM-6sR1rSPcEYAs1WDiYdgKq1kkLHwwNuD-SORgKloUsYXjSwfhbr-7AOnjA4w-T-_oTyCey9CHNPS4fY50W-bX3yMtrTo/s1600-h/015.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257207858957792418" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXeM-TVxUWWU8v5VEYIfnUXpPyBZKP9zwAUE9ay4_7BMzp-mM-6sR1rSPcEYAs1WDiYdgKq1kkLHwwNuD-SORgKloUsYXjSwfhbr-7AOnjA4w-T-_oTyCey9CHNPS4fY50W-bX3yMtrTo/s320/015.JPG" border="0" /></a>Can you tell he was happy to get his cake :) </div></div></div><br /></div>Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12319344471609044932noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063580542683107859.post-75992166667590195512008-09-09T12:05:00.008-05:002008-09-09T12:38:46.662-05:00Stone Mountain-JulySo I am super behind on posting and wish I had kept up with things, but I've been busy with house stuff and not feeling well so blogging was not high on my priority list. So I will start with our flying family trip to Stone Mountain back in July. The main reason we went was so that we could get to meet David's girlfriend Mary without overwhelming her at my parent's house. We grilled out and had a good time eating and talking. Then Nana and Pop-pop watched the boys while the rest of us climbed the mountain. We got caught in a quick rainstorm while up there and everyone was soaked to the skin. lol We stayed for the laser show of course and no matter if people think it's cheesy or not, it is always fun.<br /><br />An interesting thing about the laser show... everyone who has seen it knows that at the end they play the National Anthem and fly the flag on the mountain. We were seated about halfway down the lawn and John immediately stood when it started playing... David, James and Andy weren't far behind... they were the only ones I saw standing to begin with and from behind me I hear "Jerks! Blocking my view." Shortly after that the voice said in a different tone, "ohhhh" and I saw the man stand up. By the end of the song, the majority of the crowd was standing with their hands over their hearts, but that initial reaction unfortunately didn't surprise me.<br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoEe61fIvUntWBRFpH1vN4yuov2SYnMV4NF2Bx3NB76ZQOJe5gbOqH0DH2aggeuERPpR4r_sDbq17gG469CWw6OY6Bo6t0KEcLdD6exTF4LIPsQUo4ZHbZUeSGONnXwArcEaWEMdHIASU/s1600-h/SM+Andy+and+Beth.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5244070736906986194" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoEe61fIvUntWBRFpH1vN4yuov2SYnMV4NF2Bx3NB76ZQOJe5gbOqH0DH2aggeuERPpR4r_sDbq17gG469CWw6OY6Bo6t0KEcLdD6exTF4LIPsQUo4ZHbZUeSGONnXwArcEaWEMdHIASU/s320/SM+Andy+and+Beth.jpg" border="0" /></a> Andy and I obviously... on top of the mountain.<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIlp145kO8YDtkjN9z4IVSbN6mh01Dy_WMsN4npacHf1BA-5IHuHJLkdRoEfT_H0fajdtz0BhEUUh6OEKSCBb1holqwf_G1rSnK1IZKcSoxUEY69eqwYJbjFCQ81hfmNkL-pxDjKEmUlM/s1600-h/SM+David+and+Mary.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5244070524678783010" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIlp145kO8YDtkjN9z4IVSbN6mh01Dy_WMsN4npacHf1BA-5IHuHJLkdRoEfT_H0fajdtz0BhEUUh6OEKSCBb1holqwf_G1rSnK1IZKcSoxUEY69eqwYJbjFCQ81hfmNkL-pxDjKEmUlM/s320/SM+David+and+Mary.jpg" border="0" /></a> David isn't really this much taller than Mary... they are cute together aren't they. :)<br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYHAK6A9ULQPKJ9MlMFbox4G4hsT-uAI3H_PeF6d3dats8Ll1laeAjHRdffnlLiD0k-w1xIUVPVvrxqX8iIV6uA2SFb-C4tPM4cXI5XEvCzuxan3dIZb8JJvJId-vnDuXDookB0liuFhI/s1600-h/SM+groupwet.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5244070317913885314" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYHAK6A9ULQPKJ9MlMFbox4G4hsT-uAI3H_PeF6d3dats8Ll1laeAjHRdffnlLiD0k-w1xIUVPVvrxqX8iIV6uA2SFb-C4tPM4cXI5XEvCzuxan3dIZb8JJvJId-vnDuXDookB0liuFhI/s320/SM+groupwet.jpg" border="0" /></a> All of us drenched.</div><div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtAW3_ihV5yDi2nIrzGG6kUC9Rbb8eOAyUCgVFapecAsCCejxJuXbjLBk4cm1N3lttOlUsBEAt_9Qf-l8Oo6LRJ1ivoQ73_zBevzTWiU7EVjytLZCBnDPf2QEGquFsdMUJGbRwMC86bPk/s1600-h/SM+lasershow.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5244069967899628962" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtAW3_ihV5yDi2nIrzGG6kUC9Rbb8eOAyUCgVFapecAsCCejxJuXbjLBk4cm1N3lttOlUsBEAt_9Qf-l8Oo6LRJ1ivoQ73_zBevzTWiU7EVjytLZCBnDPf2QEGquFsdMUJGbRwMC86bPk/s320/SM+lasershow.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><div>Laser show pictures</div><div></div></div></div></div></div></div>Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12319344471609044932noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063580542683107859.post-61563608778960325752008-07-20T19:56:00.005-05:002008-07-20T20:15:49.539-05:00Best Friends<div align="left">While I was in Georgia last week Katie and I were able to get together for the first time in 6 months. It was great to sit and talk about silly little things and important things with someone who understands me so well. I love having old friendships that you can slip back into as if no time has past. Granted, we are now sitting in Subway wondering if our kids are happy without us and knowing that we have only an hour or 2 before we have to get them again, instead of being carefree. But being able to stay friends even as life presents us with new experiences is a wonderful thing.</div><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7dVbJoRt4jvZdj2jiGiL6N0Mj1b6R_rb3RHGkRL5eKQxqgj6ldUxgZStpiYpwf_Jit8ztPiqjR6OtLtlSQuBOvW20ILdDSy1GH4E9HqSDvq6tyuMjpQVhJ7pC4W9-aXANGw7YuHOyT80/s1600-h/008.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5225267613386431186" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7dVbJoRt4jvZdj2jiGiL6N0Mj1b6R_rb3RHGkRL5eKQxqgj6ldUxgZStpiYpwf_Jit8ztPiqjR6OtLtlSQuBOvW20ILdDSy1GH4E9HqSDvq6tyuMjpQVhJ7pC4W9-aXANGw7YuHOyT80/s320/008.JPG" border="0" /></a> Charis seemed so fascinated with Caleb's shoe.</div><div align="center"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGFDoRP2a7etbPIQl5Lj8woucTQRoPGzoTIZOfTzzXsH53o6qLHzKBDn3YtOu0-Sd0WYGnnnXGx2UzcdjJssmc0evXNbJSSRHFe7L2atb28UEY0tSFEwhl4XHogZdQu795fg28nbCCTpo/s1600-h/011.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5225265853332503778" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGFDoRP2a7etbPIQl5Lj8woucTQRoPGzoTIZOfTzzXsH53o6qLHzKBDn3YtOu0-Sd0WYGnnnXGx2UzcdjJssmc0evXNbJSSRHFe7L2atb28UEY0tSFEwhl4XHogZdQu795fg28nbCCTpo/s320/011.JPG" border="0" /></a> The babies were quite happy to look at each other while we took pics. :)<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiaPrdlGFG9JiD7M-QcrVsC6sgCO6G2EQ4qiYimTt8iH7kLRL8EHoYFCSIWITPpLL4j6YL-2urg8b2_oRC-9lQmXr96CayKpL-65gHorO2pbjq_5MneHWPgnbYjJu1k3fPJShdGHJwAcM/s1600-h/013.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5225265578933593890" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiaPrdlGFG9JiD7M-QcrVsC6sgCO6G2EQ4qiYimTt8iH7kLRL8EHoYFCSIWITPpLL4j6YL-2urg8b2_oRC-9lQmXr96CayKpL-65gHorO2pbjq_5MneHWPgnbYjJu1k3fPJShdGHJwAcM/s320/013.JPG" border="0" /></a>With all the kids... can you tell how thrilled they are? lol<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwITTkoW1y8yAGE2rqybzsOBnspBfhig0mXNbBQVQJiayoiwaoxVWWIKAmdzMNfXpBRnD6IKdLYvzDQlk2LzT8TUIEbU70ILcbFgXLjTmjVy3_M6C-Z8zQ0WcckdgMUtaTDifQ2oVpZhI/s1600-h/014.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5225265366597504754" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwITTkoW1y8yAGE2rqybzsOBnspBfhig0mXNbBQVQJiayoiwaoxVWWIKAmdzMNfXpBRnD6IKdLYvzDQlk2LzT8TUIEbU70ILcbFgXLjTmjVy3_M6C-Z8zQ0WcckdgMUtaTDifQ2oVpZhI/s320/014.JPG" border="0" /></a> So glad to be together</div></div><br /></div>Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12319344471609044932noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063580542683107859.post-66524840882390943252008-07-18T16:24:00.002-05:002008-07-18T16:27:26.004-05:00Hilarious!!!Ok, one of my friends sent me this link to the "Ten Worst Baby Products Ever" and I cracked up! John named him Enzo and he's so cute. He's also very sweet and loves people. Other babies we have had have been very skittish and afraid of people, but Enzo will come over and lip your hand.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-W-epPJZFY04QL-YqBJ51_fIkkIlmwLcfOIb50hT3OnPhhST2FL5ckJEKisvnzZXVj1VWgVms6Ct0MDQgLxf-uOWaWGZYr1JX0UpeGMha6FC1R-Ba63R34mGM_6JbFS7PmHL96js8RKk/s1600-h/013.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222978752620750322" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-W-epPJZFY04QL-YqBJ51_fIkkIlmwLcfOIb50hT3OnPhhST2FL5ckJEKisvnzZXVj1VWgVms6Ct0MDQgLxf-uOWaWGZYr1JX0UpeGMha6FC1R-Ba63R34mGM_6JbFS7PmHL96js8RKk/s320/013.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-7uDbmqt9i9FMfO_dC5jmz8ApSPn56SnJ-NQailnONBj24HEXBKzzYz5-pBYV5AfGy6XnD9Al_yzR78vkYRJ02HH4zqXGPkZh9-ds-E6N94Di9kEGWFlXDr8PYwleAqqzqqdcP6LBeFk/s1600-h/011.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222978405563482498" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-7uDbmqt9i9FMfO_dC5jmz8ApSPn56SnJ-NQailnONBj24HEXBKzzYz5-pBYV5AfGy6XnD9Al_yzR78vkYRJ02HH4zqXGPkZh9-ds-E6N94Di9kEGWFlXDr8PYwleAqqzqqdcP6LBeFk/s320/011.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif1ArwkB4oEo5bd0euGglPjyrXRw1wvVZ-E6oj5IdmKEKcb02d7h-8k0tf50e2n5nqRQIDWDFHBvwLDNjeTKT8R4Rm1vmcI39wnmndNoYpmHQh4cbGtTzOPF2wiFXMXdTjM6ue6lL3mQE/s1600-h/014.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222978115449323826" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif1ArwkB4oEo5bd0euGglPjyrXRw1wvVZ-E6oj5IdmKEKcb02d7h-8k0tf50e2n5nqRQIDWDFHBvwLDNjeTKT8R4Rm1vmcI39wnmndNoYpmHQh4cbGtTzOPF2wiFXMXdTjM6ue6lL3mQE/s320/014.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div></div></div></div>Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12319344471609044932noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063580542683107859.post-64760396723327249962008-06-26T22:04:00.002-05:002008-06-26T22:17:57.521-05:00Too Cute...So earlier this week Caleb and Stephen were playing in their room while I was sitting on the couch working on my computer. All of a sudden Stephen comes out grumbling, not crying or whining, grumbling. He came over, pulled my arm up and climbed into my lap, sat down and looked up at me. Then he stuck his lower lip out, pointed at the bedroom and said "bock". Right then Caleb walks out carrying their bucket of duploes with a grin on his face, I asked him if he had taken all the blocks from Stephen and he said yes very happily. I told him that he had to share and could try giving Stephen some cars and sent them back to play. It just cracked me up that Stephen wasn't crying just complaining and tattling for the first time. I know that I will have to work on discipline and not allow this behavior to develop a lot, but it's so much fun to see personalities coming out. :)Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12319344471609044932noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063580542683107859.post-75698195996816235772008-06-18T07:25:00.013-05:002008-06-18T08:17:11.139-05:00Zoo Trip in May<div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLD79zucdm-TDrYHO1oIANb5Cl7hTGrE0Mhb9oI6zekXlY35BNFwUH-djn4VTJqCWKW_BN2hQw4ZQ3OlQvgX9sqRh0dMfGMaIoyQXi9WMUHPzUIigdIuHDtHCWaErQ4HzXFr8W4R7DBJk/s1600-h/bald+eagle+08.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5213204201425990338" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLD79zucdm-TDrYHO1oIANb5Cl7hTGrE0Mhb9oI6zekXlY35BNFwUH-djn4VTJqCWKW_BN2hQw4ZQ3OlQvgX9sqRh0dMfGMaIoyQXi9WMUHPzUIigdIuHDtHCWaErQ4HzXFr8W4R7DBJk/s200/bald+eagle+08.jpg" border="0" /></a> </div><div align="center">In May while up in Birmingham Andy's Mother took us to the zoo. The Birmingham Zoo is really small, but we still had a great time. Caleb thought the Sea Lion show was so funny and enjoyed being splashed by them. Stephen seemed fascinated by the monkeys swinging around. I think Andy and I enjoyed the Lorikeet exhibit the best. The Lorikeets are beautiful little rainbow birds who will land on you. One persisted on unbuttoning the zookeeper's shirt buttons while another sat on Andy's shoulder and tried to clean his ear. :) Caleb and Stephen freaked out when the birds zoomed down to land on our shoulders and wouldn't stop fussing so we had to leave a little earlier than we would have liked. It's hard to believe that he turned 1 year old April 10th. For his birthday my whole family was able to make it in and Andy's parents came down. We also had 2 couples we are good friends with come over. It was lots of fun to just hang out, talk and eat. :) Below are my favorite pics from the day.<br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPhsByvlWIev-fUwUeforywiAiwP28lPIg0SLttjn3r8m-LgMyAQEAlkbteDYcxT-yMTD_nNpK4KmaZIZ4f7rPSujsaBdvOcGGdKgMgdweztI6s2AxrqUtBZCSN0mBXDcKm6jBduJgTD8/s1600-h/Stephen+1st+bday1.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5211011035745901538" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPhsByvlWIev-fUwUeforywiAiwP28lPIg0SLttjn3r8m-LgMyAQEAlkbteDYcxT-yMTD_nNpK4KmaZIZ4f7rPSujsaBdvOcGGdKgMgdweztI6s2AxrqUtBZCSN0mBXDcKm6jBduJgTD8/s320/Stephen+1st+bday1.jpg" border="0" /></a> Stephen dove into his cake without hesitation :)</div><div align="center"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqXdLTLXz3oetUe5RTuoTHdyVhlme4d52UsvVrH8YTdLYQXd_xV9SjyhmWi1S-ShbHFAbllcd0LVgK_6ppmz6cbGEe7Xw6wwzpKztBxeK_JOXZN-Qn7j5Zeb9Vw3jMqyJ-aK3izvWe6s8/s1600-h/Stephen+1st+bday2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5211010916197966450" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqXdLTLXz3oetUe5RTuoTHdyVhlme4d52UsvVrH8YTdLYQXd_xV9SjyhmWi1S-ShbHFAbllcd0LVgK_6ppmz6cbGEe7Xw6wwzpKztBxeK_JOXZN-Qn7j5Zeb9Vw3jMqyJ-aK3izvWe6s8/s320/Stephen+1st+bday2.jpg" border="0" /></a> Little chocolate boy<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTVyWCy4vulkhTh5lDMWwb1OSdR1a_dWc_JPSbvnQb_qC8QJpE4avxdmlMqBi5IydTO0Nn9uzXjmOIV8X4ISlDhuq3srt4QPL5kCsvltRHRTyA1OsgXMX1SLZNgNrty7kNdz-s3vpQjwA/s1600-h/Stephen+1st+bday3.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5211010810816617330" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTVyWCy4vulkhTh5lDMWwb1OSdR1a_dWc_JPSbvnQb_qC8QJpE4avxdmlMqBi5IydTO0Nn9uzXjmOIV8X4ISlDhuq3srt4QPL5kCsvltRHRTyA1OsgXMX1SLZNgNrty7kNdz-s3vpQjwA/s320/Stephen+1st+bday3.jpg" border="0" /></a> Caleb and Hunter enjoyed helping open Stephen's presents... here we are opening a float for Stephen to use at the lake this summer.<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBpZhZ80VD0XOUx2H5LMn26GzeUlTw3nQDNyqKNwBsv3tZVnHgsDpD2EBoQZPYWMa45yB2bNLbMHY1pedAvx78eBklkvxay6SNgt4t6P58I_I-vHVUXLHfyAAl42uugBBd6iEf2wijL-8/s1600-h/Stephen+1st+bday4.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5211010706211312882" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBpZhZ80VD0XOUx2H5LMn26GzeUlTw3nQDNyqKNwBsv3tZVnHgsDpD2EBoQZPYWMa45yB2bNLbMHY1pedAvx78eBklkvxay6SNgt4t6P58I_I-vHVUXLHfyAAl42uugBBd6iEf2wijL-8/s320/Stephen+1st+bday4.jpg" border="0" /></a> Such a cute grin from my wee one</div><div><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRNcsRaWdoZHis6XIUDQ8w0XnZyhv9M6zq4MuMZAuwjh13BSMUSQgsSOT2VPhcKVPuNVTKSaWpIZGs4c2KJt7bDZuIvsds0WENws2pDA-BJKjOAN7A6X0UAKZBXKGjo4N0GHI-oyMLWzc/s1600-h/Stephen+1st+bday5.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5211010566226614082" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRNcsRaWdoZHis6XIUDQ8w0XnZyhv9M6zq4MuMZAuwjh13BSMUSQgsSOT2VPhcKVPuNVTKSaWpIZGs4c2KJt7bDZuIvsds0WENws2pDA-BJKjOAN7A6X0UAKZBXKGjo4N0GHI-oyMLWzc/s320/Stephen+1st+bday5.jpg" border="0" /></a> The boys thought Deke was really funny with the bag over his head. :)</div><div> </div></div></div><br /></div>Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12319344471609044932noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063580542683107859.post-37848134906868770982008-06-03T07:15:00.003-05:002008-06-03T07:25:50.387-05:00David...The beginning of May David went down to Florida for the National RUF conference. Especially when that irritation spills over into other parts of your life. It's difficult to tell some people to bug off and keep their noses out of your business, but I shouldn't let them get to me either. I know it's a normal part of marriage, but I'm tired of Andy and I taking out our irritation at other people on each other. I also don't like being grumpy for a week afterwards because I feel people are questioning something I put my all into. He graduated UGA Summa Cum Laude with highest honors being that in his time there he was only one B from a 4.0 GPA. Next fall he starts Dental School at the Medical College of Georgia down in Augusta. He was commissioned into the Army Reserves this Spring and after he graduates dental school he will be commissioned into the regular army as a Captain I believe.<br /><br />While we were at my family's Andy, John, James and Becky got to go to a Braves game and Nana and Pop pop watched the boys while Andy and I went out to eat for our anniversay. It was a nice relaxing time there. <br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7giYC-iMXcSdN_zj5iapKk-1fIJWgYcgDyS3l7LqV5YHUIhN4s7jda55useXYLwQIHdFWqcZfAjMtDdHlitGMz6VWdsxH_miFsZmBH19Zl0h0FaYc1rhW4lT126izFeaGKqEww4tIVKs/s1600-h/Dgrad05.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5200217759570477826" style="DISPLAY: block; He and I are a lot alike and react to stress the same way. It was nice to have him call me and ask for advice and just to talk about school. He has participated in the Air Force ROTC at <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">UGA</span> the whole year and has decided that he is called to be an Air Force chaplain. Most people when they hear this are quite surprised and really don't know what to say, the girl in the picture below is the only one who has really expressed interest and opinions in his chosen profession. <br /><br />Last year Dad and I were talking about what kind of girls my brothers were probably going to be looking for and we decided that David would find a girl like Mom and John would find a girl like me... I believe John has found his girl and the way he talks about her I will not be surprised to be attending their wedding in 3 or so years. <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">lol</span> Her name is Beth, she is fairly tall and has dark, curly hair. :) I love my brother so much and wish the absolute best for him. I've been feeling a little overwhelmed, but have been catching up with things. Back in February, David came and stayed with us for the weekend before his birthday. We had lots of fun laying around the house, playing tennis and just catching up. Uncle David is also a huge hit with his nephews who adored him and wanted to climb all over him. David was so sweet and played with everything they brought him. <br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUZIBpP6q8Aa3GzztmIl5327KdSZBJ1ybb6DhCX4iyX8ZJkCXgEbBnL52NPJ0_WK_1-foUrV6ZiQxTIIyp4HHu5TpLUrXrTj_EGH9vpcuMMKs7XU24uthvmOTX6F4GOCjkfjkf5yCSWMY/s1600-h/Uncle+David+2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5188091426515318610" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUZIBpP6q8Aa3GzztmIl5327KdSZBJ1ybb6DhCX4iyX8ZJkCXgEbBnL52NPJ0_WK_1-foUrV6ZiQxTIIyp4HHu5TpLUrXrTj_EGH9vpcuMMKs7XU24uthvmOTX6F4GOCjkfjkf5yCSWMY/s320/Uncle+David+2.jpg" border="0" /></a>Uncle David putting Stephen's shoes on... see his grin? :)</div><div align="center"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgS0PIZmPZ2dJouEmVhwTTEmonZ3pSmSNIgdbd18V7ohFyxkYRAFl1jxR3a1KOnWipKgKpM5Ghnulk0sV5qN0N1i452A6mT_4asd99zE0iIbUK7nF6DMSe2tcE-AOd3t_KK1aG2DyxDHyQ/s1600-h/Uncle+David+3.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5188091250421659458" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgS0PIZmPZ2dJouEmVhwTTEmonZ3pSmSNIgdbd18V7ohFyxkYRAFl1jxR3a1KOnWipKgKpM5Ghnulk0sV5qN0N1i452A6mT_4asd99zE0iIbUK7nF6DMSe2tcE-AOd3t_KK1aG2DyxDHyQ/s320/Uncle+David+3.jpg" border="0" /></a>One of the many times they were both piled on him.<br /><br /><div align="left">One of the other things that has been happening in our lives is the boys are really starting to play together. Caleb will be with something and Stephen will do a run-by snatch... start from across the room and snatch one of Caleb's toys and take off with it. He'll have a huge grin on his face as he runs off and Caleb chases him down. :) They will also share toys and walk around holding hands. I love watching their personalities emerge as they interact. Below are 2 of my favorite pics of them from the last few months.<br /><br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigGBtUYxKo6p9cMpBqOzOe-N89wiNPpFlKC3cI5PNWEKknPSnJITzx5iyw-QYEobDudbG7nS-zTXua6Z-53MhZW_eNtcWVxmaKzcFRsSpeqa2SyaDOngi71kJakYN33SvIkFR-sDDoNO8/s1600-h/My+boys2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5188091112982705970" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigGBtUYxKo6p9cMpBqOzOe-N89wiNPpFlKC3cI5PNWEKknPSnJITzx5iyw-QYEobDudbG7nS-zTXua6Z-53MhZW_eNtcWVxmaKzcFRsSpeqa2SyaDOngi71kJakYN33SvIkFR-sDDoNO8/s320/My+boys2.jpg" border="0" /></a> They fell asleep on the couch together and Stephen woke up just before I took the picture.<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKfZY9WSXsLUNhxqTrvXERCIttmcx9k0S4VK4X5fY1sDBTqB1Ws9bhLDg0CZJO9L8aSGU7rHBEEyEyIt9lVoxiJKPec9Z5i1MX4daMag1FTnzWaX1fjd-ojveLV9p1GJyQAFvtkKfxAlo/s1600-h/My+boys3.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5188090924004144930" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKfZY9WSXsLUNhxqTrvXERCIttmcx9k0S4VK4X5fY1sDBTqB1Ws9bhLDg0CZJO9L8aSGU7rHBEEyEyIt9lVoxiJKPec9Z5i1MX4daMag1FTnzWaX1fjd-ojveLV9p1GJyQAFvtkKfxAlo/s320/My+boys3.jpg" border="0" /></a> My couch has become a playground now that Stephen is climbing and they have great fun making play areas and jumping around.</div><div> </div><br /></div>Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12319344471609044932noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063580542683107859.post-20369924434245790292008-04-10T22:06:00.002-05:002008-04-10T22:21:56.528-05:00SadnessIt's amazing how people you think are friends and let into your minds and hearts can betray you at the drop of a hat. It doesn't even have to be anything life-changing that makes them decide to break your trust, just an odd mood, or the decision to turn a blind eye to obvious lies. The amazing thing is that we continue to trust and let people into our lives. I wish that I had followed my first instincts which are normally correct, but people have an amazing ability to decieve when they want something.<br /><br />On the other hand, people who you really don't notice to begin with because of new situations can become a rock and you realize that true friendship can come from the oddest beginnings. Something as unassuming as a discussion about what marital arts forms you have done can lead to a relationship that you know can stand the test of time.Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12319344471609044932noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063580542683107859.post-39077731294020006262008-03-05T15:16:00.003-06:002008-03-05T15:40:16.938-06:00Easter OutfitsI'm really enjoying smocking and sewing the boys Easter outfits and thought I'd post my designs to show everyone. :) I love the old fashioned Southern boy clothes and am so happy that our church is formal enough for me to make them for Caleb and Stephen to wear. Surprisingly Andy loves them too and is happy for me to make them clothes. Part of it is that he likes Caleb looking more his age I'm sure, but I'll take it anyway I can get it. I'm really careful to not pick out things that are too "girly" too. :)<br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2deq3m-OhLm3Qcje2STkokMqbHaCrCaw5u6dTF9LiftEfJdTw0QekqaV9kTo46l4iJOqfYrx7yrdAQ50shshEq2DkQ6EMBDDqXYNMXBjXZDRhtYoVR00V1h-oW-813X1wl_0VaA_Kjiw/s1600-h/awtheadmiral.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5174373583379851730" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2deq3m-OhLm3Qcje2STkokMqbHaCrCaw5u6dTF9LiftEfJdTw0QekqaV9kTo46l4iJOqfYrx7yrdAQ50shshEq2DkQ6EMBDDqXYNMXBjXZDRhtYoVR00V1h-oW-813X1wl_0VaA_Kjiw/s400/awtheadmiral.jpg" border="0" /></a> This first plate is the one I'm making to put in Caleb's shirt.</div><div align="center"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgif3aYzbFpdA1r6U8NLtnNJmvm1h0DbH6DBPM657vK7-aOH-Pl9KlXK1DvskGJleEhzu-VoMWBPakDhV1PvfQtCwEFCxk-_mgeC7ieDg3OpxCnssWSbFn2uvDXQT03r3rkoCiXWu7U_r8/s1600-h/bearlyasailor.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5174373527545276866" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgif3aYzbFpdA1r6U8NLtnNJmvm1h0DbH6DBPM657vK7-aOH-Pl9KlXK1DvskGJleEhzu-VoMWBPakDhV1PvfQtCwEFCxk-_mgeC7ieDg3OpxCnssWSbFn2uvDXQT03r3rkoCiXWu7U_r8/s400/bearlyasailor.jpg" border="0" /></a>This is Stephen's. His name is Mo Leverett. He and his wife have a street ministry in a poor section of New Orleans called <a href="http://www.desirestreet.org/">Desire Street Ministries</a>. Mo writes all his own songs which are a combination christian and songs about living in the South. I don't know a lot about him right now, but John went down over Christmas to New Orleans on a mission trip and loved this guy so I'm pretty pleased with it.Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12319344471609044932noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063580542683107859.post-24614528467148636322008-02-27T08:09:00.002-06:002008-02-27T08:20:52.863-06:00SingingThere are two activities that I hope to instill a love of in my boys. Reading books, which they have seem to have mastered, and loving music and singing. I love singing and miss singing in the church choir so much, but between not having the lung capacity for it while pregnant and dealing with little ones it just hasn't fit in my schedule again. Instead I've settled for singing to the boys while pregnant and with them young. They both have their favorites and sometimes will only settle down for one particular song. Since my Dad sang to us all the time when I was little, my repertiore mostly consists of hymns, spirituals and old folk songs but we all love it. Now, if I don't have music going Caleb points at the CD player and says please until I turn something on. Our favorite background CD is Beethoven piano music, but we listen to anything and everything from an awesome jazz Christian musician my brothers gave us from New Orleans, to Latin music. I love just putting music on and dancing around the room holding my boys. They love it as much as I do. All of this to say most of y'all are musicians and share the same love for music that I have, but if you aren't... try to instill a love of music in your children so that they don't miss out on a beautiful part of life.Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12319344471609044932noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9063580542683107859.post-14329571523861245512008-02-20T10:01:00.010-06:002008-02-20T10:15:42.664-06:00Backyards and Swing SetsOne of the reasons we LOVE our duplex is the backyard. It was already mostly fenced in when we moved here and our lovely landlords have told us that we can put up more fencing, play toys and plant anything we want. For Christmas Andy's parents bought the boys a swing set and this weekend was the first chance we've had to bring it down and put it up. Between weather, being sick and people traveling it just hasn't worked out until now. Anyways, we are thrilled and here are some pictures from Saturday. We have since gotten most of the leaves up and have 2 lounges chairs out that we got for wedding presents and have been storing under our bed. :)<br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhhZ8u3tS8jRSSipbcUrevcaMEInTFadfIdraXNxYRC5kWn71uemX3VZ5Ifh3Uc-XQz-xj89nQeDONH4k3O8Wkf3uOW00VZE4ghSzxtw1OdW-iA9yTPIHzIWWtR5_SKZbGtc0PQ-zVJFA/s1600-h/swingset1.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5169095288613432962" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhhZ8u3tS8jRSSipbcUrevcaMEInTFadfIdraXNxYRC5kWn71uemX3VZ5Ifh3Uc-XQz-xj89nQeDONH4k3O8Wkf3uOW00VZE4ghSzxtw1OdW-iA9yTPIHzIWWtR5_SKZbGtc0PQ-zVJFA/s320/swingset1.jpg" border="0" /></a> Getting everything out...</div><div align="center"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxPLACtpnSQCNEX-nlInuuBDwJae2eftnanvnKBtzk28-vP_zxEpCmZXa7ITr8gAFLHoXmtEMkWy9ohsBbH-2XDBEe4MWBS8zmFU69vgpAUDvudjz9FiYduVAckmQKZrup02YpZJwRec0/s1600-h/swingset2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5169095189829185138" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxPLACtpnSQCNEX-nlInuuBDwJae2eftnanvnKBtzk28-vP_zxEpCmZXa7ITr8gAFLHoXmtEMkWy9ohsBbH-2XDBEe4MWBS8zmFU69vgpAUDvudjz9FiYduVAckmQKZrup02YpZJwRec0/s320/swingset2.jpg" border="0" /></a> My cutie pie... he has my eyes :)<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgO0i0mxTxqMHxtetT_ENuIlTL5mkUbQp9ISzVA0bugb5_0SXInfttNaoevGg2499Z_-rPrFxibTCBDcm9Q6JPweYsyBV-ZSX-qZy8arL55hR-DeZ7r7vSdj4_HCgVRuZQTJnF9QkUeE1U/s1600-h/swingset3.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5169095086749970018" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgO0i0mxTxqMHxtetT_ENuIlTL5mkUbQp9ISzVA0bugb5_0SXInfttNaoevGg2499Z_-rPrFxibTCBDcm9Q6JPweYsyBV-ZSX-qZy8arL55hR-DeZ7r7vSdj4_HCgVRuZQTJnF9QkUeE1U/s320/swingset3.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyVMkqXpsL9W8r_M0u2v6xgks_5ix1bLqVePsKEC2_4njw7WnApwaYVxP695UaLxXV3WcrO7dIL0Rvzsmi1sXcEuGA6Q6rjD29CSzrY5FcqcZ-mnoIAzgxJYtxRnEt2wyH6dax8FJhtiY/s1600-h/swingset4.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5169094983670754898" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyVMkqXpsL9W8r_M0u2v6xgks_5ix1bLqVePsKEC2_4njw7WnApwaYVxP695UaLxXV3WcrO7dIL0Rvzsmi1sXcEuGA6Q6rjD29CSzrY5FcqcZ-mnoIAzgxJYtxRnEt2wyH6dax8FJhtiY/s320/swingset4.jpg" border="0" /></a> Caleb is so excited. I am happy to say that I took my final in Latin yesterday and while I'm scared to find out how I did, I believe I did well enough to pass the class. That's all I'm asking for at this point so we'll see. After this I have 3 classes left which I will be starting the first of March. :)<br /><br />On the babies front... Caleb is talking up a storm and 2 days ago said "wove oo" to me after I said I love you. :) He is very smart and we have had to be creative to keep him out of the fridge so that he doesn't eat us out of house and home. Stephen is almost walking. He'll take several steps between pieces of furniture and is starting to walk across the room. It's so exciting and fun to watch. He also says "hi" and "da", we are loving it.<br /><br />Now it's time for me to go clean my house which I let slip while I was frantically studying for my final.Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12319344471609044932noreply@blogger.com2
